EDUCATOR , CONTENT WRITER, LINGUIST
Sarah is a writer, educator and linguist based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She received a BA in Middle Eastern Languages with Middle Eastern Studies with a focus in Arabic and Hebrew at Manchester University, England in 2018.
As an eighteen-year-old British volunteer in Jerusalem, I quickly became very interested in Middle Eastern Culture and Politics. After spending a year in Jerusalem I had the opportunity of studying a beginner’s Arabic course at Al Quds Palestinian University. It became very clear to me that Arabic was a skill that I wanted to pursue and so after training as a secretary for a year in Jerusalem I returned home to complete my undergraduate degree.
During my degree, I fell in love with Arabic literature, Iranian history, the Ottoman Empire, Monotheistic religious discourse, anthropology and Islamic architecture. Since completing my degree, I obtained a PGCE in English Language and Literature and have since travelled to Saudi Arabia. I am passionate about empowering women and education and consider it a privilege to be able to write about my adventures and experiences and I am so grateful for all the experiences that God has given me.
